Happy Memorial Day Weekend everyone!  It’s time to remember our country’s men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom.  But nobody said we had to mourn all weekend– let’s celebrate in their honor!  If you’re still looking for something to do with your weekend, check out these events.

Some pretty spectacular stuff happened in Pennsylvania this week–which is great because if our baby names or internet searches have anything to do with our reputation, we’re in trouble!  The country thinks we need an intervention, but we’re on our way to proving we’ve got a fabulous head on our shoulders.

It FINALLY happened–the decision that so many of PA’s residents were waiting for!  The Keystone State became the 19th state and the last in the northeast to allow marriage for all.  Thanks to Tuesday’s ruling, civil unions and domestic partnerships will be recognized like never before.  Congratulations to all the men and women out there who can officially share their love and happiness ♡  Next month, Pittsburghers will really have something to be proud about, let the parties begin!

We may have a “No Girls Allowed,” sign hanging outside our Congress tree-house too, but at least our boy, Peduto, is helping us shape up the ‘Burgh!  The makers of the Russell Crowe and Aaron Paul film, Fathers and Daughters, helped out too.  They donated all the furniture, clothing, and set dressing to those in need in Braddock–Thanks guys!
