WYEP's Holiday Hootenanny
WYEP‘s annual celebration, the Holiday Hootenanny, is returning this year with a powerhouse lineup of your favorite local bands and newcomers to the scene. Join them this Thursday, December 13 at the New Hazlett Theater in the North Side for an evening of music, refreshments and a few surprises. Proceeds benefit WYEP’s Youth Media Project, an organization that empowers teens to become the voice for today’s youth, teaching participants the leadership skills that will enable them to speak out concerning issues that are important to their generation, as well as other news and radio-centered curriculum.
The show begins at 7PM. Tickets are still on sale and available at multiple price levels ($10-$75):
VIP: Receives a private act before the main event featuring Re(imagiNATION) participants, winners of Youth Media Project’s high school music competition playing with local musicians, a full dinner before the show, and the best seats in the house all night.
General Admission: Receives seating in the theater during the show, desserts and coffee from a variety of local establishments.
Standing Room: Receives standing room in the theater during the show, desserts and coffee from a variety of local establishments.
Lobby: Receives a spot in the lobby where the show is streamed in live, desserts and coffee from a variety of local establishments.

In addition to these talented bands, the Hootenanny is known for bringing together individuals from various local bands on the same stage while they sing an assortment of holiday songs. These collaborations are what attendees look forward to every year and what makes the event truly special. Individual performers include:
Molly Alphabet, Emily Pinkerton, Slim Forsythe, Mike McCormick, Midge Crickett, Sarah Siplak, Scott Peterson, Morgan Erina, Guy Russo, Brooke Annibale, Judith Avers, Ben Shannon, Joy Ike, Ben Hardt, Josh Verbanets and Dave Bubbenheim.
There will be a cash bar available, with proceeds benefiting the New Hazlett Theater, as well as munchies from the following contributors:
