Weekend Recap

We had a fantastic weekend, did you!? With all that’s been going on – Pride, the arts fest, and some quality local events – you really have no one to blame other than yourself if you’ve deemed this past weekend as a dud. First off, we need to share something that’s been in the works. Our Sexy Sax Man video is donezo! We aren’t sure what happened quality-wise. We just bought the camera we filmed the event with, but alas, it’s not the most fabulous picture. You’ll still get an idea of what went down by watchin, so peep that shiz and get Careless Whisper stuck in your head for the rest of the day, you know you wanna!

We’ll be eagerly awaiting your return, Sax Man!

As for tha weekend, well – it was a banger. Friday we started things off by getting weird at Belvedere’s. Despite the minor technical difficulties, Cutups managed to kill his closing set. Then we brought the stragglers to an afterparty spot following a pretty sweet fight after everyone was booted out of the bar. Haters be hatin, but that did not crush the party spirits, oh no! Saturday we hit up Summer of Love – the rave at the Irish Center where Humanaut had their very own room! Despite being disillusioned with promises of booze, we still had a good time. Props to Aaron Clark, who was the only person whose set we got to see from beginning to end. He killed it. Rumor has it he’s got a gig in Mexico this weekend. Doin big thangs!

Speaking of doing big thangs, VIA is about to announce their lineup and made some updates to their website today. Stay tuned to their site for a chance to win tickets to this year’s fest. We didn’t get to go to as much of Pride as we wanted to, but copped a few photos from Sunday. Until tomorrow, party peoples!
