IceageIn 2011, four youngsters all under the age of 20 going by the name Iceage emerged from Copenhagen to a slew of praise for their debut, New Brigade, which was touted as “one of the best punk collections in recent memory” (Pitchfork), and met with much curiosity about a sound that was mature beyond their years that came seemingly out of nowhere. Now, two years later, Iceage finds themselves riding the coattails of their success yet again, with the release of their sophomore album, You’re Nothing, being met with the same positivity. The response this time has been more so of an affirmation that this solid band is capable of writing a great song, polishing their live show, and doing so without losing what initially made them memorable – their powerful performances.

Iceage kicked off their first nationwide tour in support of their new album back in March and will be hitting Pittsburgh on Friday, April 12 to play 6119. Check out the first single from You’re Nothing below.

Joining Iceage for the evening will be Pittsburgh-based bands Zeitgeist, The Gotobeds and Nic Lawless & his Yung Criminals. Visuals provided by Erin Womack and Chris Smalley. This all-ages show begins at 9PM and is $8. Tickets can be purchased here.
