In case you missed them all over the city, Urbanist Pittsburgh produces sleek city guides that create the perfect road map for expert exploration of Pittsburgh’s best local establishments. And on Saturday, April 25Urbanist will be throwing an over-the-top release party for their newest urban guide.

The release party will include food a la carte from awesome Pittsburgh eateries such as The Vandal, The Ballroom, and Cure. Taste something you love, and you’ll be able to purchase a full portion for just five bucks! Drinks will also be provided courtesy of locals Hop Farm, Round Corner Cantina, and Sailor Jerry, with two soon-to-be-announced specialty beverages available for guests. An event ticket purchase includes one meal tasting per station and two drink tickets per guest, plus the option to purchase additional drink tickets for $5. Entertainment will be provided by local and international artists, as well as headliner and flourishing hip-hop icon, Lunice.

Lunice Fermin Pierre II, is an electronic DJ and solo-recording artist. Though he produces music primarily within the realm of electronica, he has recently been stretching his legs into the fields of insLunicetrumentals and trap music.

Native to Quebec, Lunice wasn’t always the man behind the beats. Before establishing himself as a recording artist, Lunice entertained urban crowds with competitive and freestyle street break dancing. The urban hip-hop tracks that inevitably went hand-in-hand with his dancing quickly molded and encouraged Lunice to grab the music scene by the horns.

Lunice has since recorded and collaborated with an array of top name rappers and artists, including Rick Ross, Diplo, and Azealia Banks. Lunice will be joined in keeping the beat high at the Urbanist release party with other niche artists, such as DETOUR’s Gusto & NaeemLoJack, Telavision, Boo Lean, and Normaling.

Urbanist’s Spring Thing Release Party kicks off at CJs (2911 Penn Ave) at 6PM, and tickets ($25 advance/$30 @ the door) gain you access to all of the evening’s food, drinks, and festivities. Half-night passes can also be purchased for $15, and get you access to the nights’s performances, and food and drink a la carte, starting at 10PM. In addition to Urbanist, other presenting partners include DMEObvious, and VIA.

Don’t miss your chance to celebrate with good local people, quality bites and beverages, and explicit entertainment. See you there!
