Balloons and Bandanas Tour Feat. MH the Verb + B Tips
Oakland is going to be a sweet spot for hip-hop while MH the Verb and DJ B-Tips are here on the Balloons and Bandanas Tour, which will take them to multiple cities across the East Coast this summer. The boys are coming to the 412 for a double dose, performing one show at the AVA Lounge on Friday, July 25 and then heading down to play another on Saturday, July 26 at Peter’s Pub.
MH the Verb has spent time developing his sound in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia until hitting the big time in NYC. He’s got a mix of raw talent and style which has cemented him as a rising star–or rather, a rising balloon–in the NYC scene, and he’s coming back here to show off how far he’s come. He released his newest record, The Balloon Guide, in February. He describes the balloon as a metaphor for his spirit on the rise, which is full of positivity. It all took place between his spot in the Bronx and his producer’s in Brooklyn. “I decided I wanted to write the soundtrack for my train ride, with each song representing a different subway stop, neighborhood, and vibe.” He’ll be able to show his view from up high to one of the cities that got him off the ground during the earlier years of his career.
DJ B-Tips does work in NYC, Pittsburgh, and cities all across the East Coast. Enjoying success in the club scene and beyond, he also keeps it real with DJ battles and radio shows in each of the cities he stays in. B-Tips has shared the stage with names like Snoop Dogg and Kid Cudi, but he still finds time to teach classes on sound tech and share his wisdom on DJing at the Dwight school. B-Tips is not a name to forget, and with over 100,000 plays on SoundCloud and YouTube, he’s definitely on our radar.
Be sure to check them out when they come to Pittsburgh for the Balloons and Bandanas Tour on July 25 & 26 for some good tunes and good vibes.
