Whatcha doin Saturday? If you’re smart, you’ll head to Remedy for the NY Night Train Soul Clap & Dance Off featuring locals Expensive shit and DJ Jonathan Toubin, best known for his soul parties that have been bringing heat all around the globe. This guy’s no stranger to the Pgh, as you might remember him playing two parties this past summer, one at Title Town and one at Steal City. He’s back for another round. This guy, who never intended to be a deejay has generated quite the buzz amongst most major indie media outlets.

Don’t believe me? Well…

“Jonathan Toubin is the only person we can call a “professional DJ” without involuntarily making a jack-off motion with our hand…. his parties are like what Ancient Stonehenge was like if it was, as archaeologists theorize, filled with people dressed many times better than you completely losing their shit.” – Mike de Leon, VICE

“Widely acknowledged as the mother of all soul jams” – Eva Madoff, Time Out New York

“New York’s best soul party” – Rozalia Jovanovic, Flavorpill

So you’d be silly not to miss this. Best of all, this party features a dance-off at midnight, with a $100 prize going to the winner. Local judges will determine who wins this shiyat, so you better start practicin’ and hope none of your enemies are on the panel.

And of course, by now you know we love Expensive Shit. We’ve covered them quite a few times on the blog now. Always a pleasure!

$5 bucks will get you into this party, which kicks off with Expensive Shit at 10. So be there, imbibe, dance and stay up late, cos the Steelers game ain’t til 4 on Sunday. Woot!
