Kevin Greenspon is a rather prolific figure in the D.I.Y ambient electronic scene. Based in Madison, WI (though originally from Los Angeles, CA) Greenspon will make his way to the Burgh with a live audio and visual set at The Shop in Bloomfield on Monday September 23rd.

Greenspon’s resume is a staggering one. His ambient sounds have been played alongside Eric Copeland (of Black Dice), Growing, Dan Deacon, Future Islands, Lucky Dragons and many more during his two full US tours and a total of over 300 shows in art galleries, basements, buses, meat lockers, parking garages, factories and DIY art spaces across the country.

He has received positive press from Pitchfork, Tiny Mix Tapes, Foxy Digitalis, No Fear of Pop, Impose Magazine and many more.

Greenspon is known for creating cinematic atmospheres. He employs abstract sounds in his cinematic compositions and miniature film soundtracks that draw from ambient, shoegaze, drone, classical, field recording and industrial composition.

On this tour he will be joined by Wisconsin’s Big Waves of Pretty… a DIY loose raucous energetic rock band who have toured the country quite a bit themselves.

Local acts Paul Quattrone (Modey Lemon, !!!, Shockwave Riderz) and Hunted Creatures (905 Tapes, VOV Fest, Dynamo Sound) join Greenspon for a set that is sure to be a journey through space & time.

The all-ages show starts at 8PM and tickets are available for $6 day of show at The Shop, located at 4314 Main Street.
