Last month, we told you about an exciting new event our queer friends and allies were throwing called Honcho. The folks behind this event put a lot of time and effort into planning a fantastic night, but it got tragically shut down at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances and the politics of a few individuals. The event was relocated last-minute and while some got to enjoy a still bangin’ party, it wasn’t close to the scope of the vision the Honcho crew had for its first shin dig. This month, the Honcho boys are back in full swing and are ready to deliver on all their promises of hotties, short shorts, sweat-induced hallucinations and any other crazy thing you can imagine when you bring together a bunch of gay men in a dance club. Leave your chastity belt at home and bring plenty of condoms just in case, because Honcho is FOR REAL poppin’ off this Friday and you don’t want to be the only one who misses it.
San Francisco’s own Honey Soundsystem will be dropping the sweet beats for the evening. A perfect choice if you ask us. According to the Honcho page, the Honey Soundsystem motto reads: “We bond over our shared love of timeless sound, iconic imagery, the complete look, indulgent behavior, and most of all, attractive men.” LET’S BOND! I’m down! This crew is comprised of Discaires, Ken Vulsion, P-Play, Robot Hustle, Jason Kendig, Josh Cheon, and Derek Bobus. Check out some of their sounds below:
The lineup for the night is as follows: Jason Kendig and P-Play plus Honcho residents Edgar Um and Aaron Clark to warm up them thighs for the night. In addition to these great jams there will be a drag performance by Miss Cherri Baum and the Haus of Haunt. Presale tickets are $8 and can be purchased here. This event is supported by our partners at Iron City Sound and starts at 9PM at the brand new 6119 venue on Penn Avenue in East Liberty. Don’t miss out on the hotness!
