Bastard Bearded Irishmen Album Release
Pittsburgh party connoisseurs Bastard Bearded Irishmen, winner of Pittsburgh City Paper’s “Best Pop/Rock Band That Isn’t The Clarks” two years ago, is a curious bunch. Performing both traditional Irish songs and originals, this bearded group of fellas put on a show that appeals to both Yinzers and hipsters alike. While we hate to make that type of blanket observation, it’s a testament to the band’s talent and entertainment factor. If you’re looking for a guaranteed good time, the sight of a Bastard Bearded Irishmen show is a no-brainer. Couple that with an album release and the party factor doubles. Consider heading to Altar bar this Saturday, May 17 for their release party, where they will be joined by The Misery Jackals and Triggers, another legit local band.
They’re also releasing a series of fake action movie trailers titled Rise of the Bastard, a title shared with the name of their new album.
Practice your best jig, stretch those beer muscles and groom ye beards because you’ll wanna bring your A game to this before you get shitty on free shots of Jameson, which will be handed out via poker chips during the show. Doors are at 7 and music begins at 8. Tickets range from $10-$15 bucks and can be purchased here. We ain’t givin out freebies for this one. Support local music and it will be good to you in return!
