It’s no secret that Sunday Brunches have become a wildly popular tradition for many; the drawn-out, elaborate, boozy breakfast affair has stolen the hearts of hangover-clad young adults across America for decades. And for some Pittsburghers, one day is hardly enough to tide over the week-long cravings of Eggs Benedict, Bloody Marys, Chicken n’ Waffles and Bottomless Mimosas. Lucky for us, brunch isn’t just reserved for Sundays. If you know where to look, you’ll find some pretty sweet Saturday spots scattered around the city. And since we all need an excuse to brunch a little harder, we’ve compiled a list of the most delectable Saturday brunch spots throughout several PGH neighborhoods. Some may already be on your list of go-to’s, while others are hidden gems you have yet to discover…

This charming cafe is the perfect place for all cuisine lovers to enjoy a French-inspired brunch. Tartine specializes in light, savory dishes such as quiche, crepes, salads and sandwiches. If you love coffee and doughnuts, checking out E²’s brunch is a must, where you’ll find a wide variety of zeppole, Italian-style doughnuts on the menu. Marty’s Market offers ‘Burgh residents a fresh, savory, seasonal brunch made with food provided from local farmers at their onsite cafe. Omelets, pancakes, shrimp and grits, organic orange juice, and much more can be found on their extensive, yet reasonably priced menu. Add to your brunch experience and order a delicious cup of high quality coffee. Brunch is available from 9AM-3PM every Saturday.

A brunch spot that caters to all, Eden’s menu is full of “allergy conscious, vegan, raw, 100% gluten free, and just really good food.” The establishment offers healthy, nontraditional, yet delicious food options to customers, including their vegan waffles – the most popular dish on the menu – made from oat, chickpea, and fava bean flour. Eden serves brunch from 10AM-2PM on Saturdays.

This quaint, intimate, cafe provides a simple, yet perfected menu for all brunch lovers. The menu includes omelets, frittatas, and many other traditional brunch options. You will always feel welcome and at home at Caffe Davio, as there is no time limit when it comes to ordering your favorite brunch items. Breakfast is served all day from 7AM-10PM on Saturdays.

In addition to their wonderful meals, this delicious, yet reasonably priced brunch spot also provides brunch-goers with an extensive list of unique cocktail options to spice up your morning. Meat and Potatoes is Pittsburgh’s first gastropub, which is defined on their website as “a public house that serves high end or craft food and libations that also focuses on the fundamentals of food and education.” The brunch menu consists of a wide range of options such as chicken and waffles, croque madame, bruschetta, huevos ranchero, and salmon flat bread. Also, make sure to check out the Bloody Mary bar. Brunch is served on Saturdays from 10:30AM- 2PM, and reservations are recommended.

Beginning this July, Upper Lawrenceville’s new multifaceted hot spot and recently opened event space will host a scrumptious brunch buffet on Saturdays from 12-4PM. Currently, Spirit hosts a myriad of highly curated events as well as versatile music acts from the Pittsburgh area and beyond. The establishment features a large banquet hall, a pizzeria and bar, a custom sound system, and multilevel stages, making it the perfect place for elaborate Saturday soirees. And since brunch is anything but boring, guests can frequently expect fun twists and renovated menu options.

Bar Marco offers a simplistic, intimate, casual atmosphere for brunch-goers. You’re bound to find something to enjoy on the brunch menu at Park Bruges. The menu consists of a classic bistro theme with a touch of French flare. A “Prix Fixe Brunch” menu option is available, where brunch-goers have the option to choose one of the many delicious entrees on the menu, including: eggs Benedict with crab cakes, leige waffles, a side dish option, and an alcoholic beverage for only $20-24. Brunch is served from 11AM-3PM on Saturdays.
