whodemsoundWhether our friends at Obvious Productions have a show planned out, or one in the works, we always look forward to the unique selection of artists they bring through our city. And this July’s booking of the Who Dem Sound show is no exception.

Who Dem Sound features a highly curated lineup of artists guaranteed to bring heat and dirty beats to Pittsburgh on July 17. Performing artists include members of Who Dem Sound, the UK’s Cessman and J. If you enjoy a diverse blend of artists that cross the barriers between bass-heavy and dubbier genres, like reggae dub, deep dubstep and garage, you’re in for a night of solid performances. Read up on the Who Dem Sound masterminds below, and take a listen to their varying compositions and styles.

Cessman

Cessman is no stranger to the UK underground scene, having been an MC initially before learning the ropes of music production. The artist became widely recognized for his dubstep collab anthem “Kalawanji” alongside producer Kromestar, and since, his creative prowess has earned him respect and street cred among dubheads across the globe.

J. Robinson

J. Robinson – founder and labelhead of Who Dem Sound Records, Tribe12 Music LTD, and TheMostHigh Records – has progressively worked to grow the underground music scene within his respective labels and in the UK. He’ll grace us with his presence alongside Cessman, so expect to be doused in his extensive collection of dub, deep dubstep, and reggae dubplates.
