The Starting Line Giveaway

Published On May 24, 2013 | By Kymbo Slice | Giveaways

TSLThe Starting Line isn’t the type of band you’ll see us cover very often here on NakYouOut, but we’re on a mission to give away tickets to every show in the Mr. Smalls 10th Anniversary Series, so that’s just what we’re going to do. Consider the following post a prime example of what happens when you combine a blaring unfamiliarity for a band/genre with a bit of effort and a lot of WTF. Here’s what we know.

The Starting Line is from Philly and they’ve been around since 1999. They haven’t released an album in 4 years, and they aren’t really touring. Their show on June 2nd at Mr. Smalls is the only date on their schedule. Does this mean it will be a high-demand show and people will travel from out of town to attend? We don’t know. There is only so much we can learn from the internet, and we don’t want to be making false assumptions here. Perhaps we should have consulted a fan before writing this.

So what else?! Instead of talking about what we don’t know, lets talk about what we’d like to know. Why is a band who hasn’t released an album since 2009 and isn’t really touring coming all the way here from Philly to play a show? If we had to guess we’d assume it’s because Mr. Smalls is awesome and they’d like to partake in the 10th anniversary celebration. It’s nice to see the Pgh-Philly love now and again since PA is crazy about their sports teams and the city of brotherly love has no love for Pgh in that aspect.

I guess it’s time to get down to business. But first, a tune. This is for those of you who might just read our website to get free stuff and don’t have a clue what The Starting Line even sounds like. Did we pick a good song? We hope so.

And now a giveaway. Simply follow the Rafflecopter instructions below for your chance to win a pair of tickets to their June 2nd show. We’ll select a winner via e-mail. Winners must respond within 24 hours to confirm. No will call switches permitted.
