To celebrate the 75th anniversary of the original 1938 War of the Worlds broadcast in which panic ensued after many listeners believed the sci-fi tale of martian invaders was indeed happening, Bricolage is restaging the classic tale in proper fashion. Few texts lend itself as well to the staging that Midnight Radio provides, which proves the art of storytelling is not lost in the digital age. A few technological improvements later and with a Pittsburgh twist only Bricolage can deliver, they present the original thriller select nights through November 9.
We had the chance to attend last week and participate in their live tweeting night for the second time. We even got a rise out of someone who believed one of our tweets. The joke’s on you, homie, we were just playing make believe.
