Mystery's Most Wanted – Star Trek: Set Phasers to Murder Giveaway
It’s a murder mystery….Star Trek edition! That’s right, Mystery’s Most Wanted theater is asking whodunit and this time it might be Captain Kirk. On Saturday, November 23rd at the Cabaret at Theater Square come see who Pittsburgh City Paper calls, “…some of the funniest people around town…” Doors open at 10PM for a crazy late night improv comedy called, “Star Trek: Set Phasers to Murder”
For more than a decade, the cast of Mystery’s Most Wanted has been performing murder mystery dinner theater in and around Pittsburgh. They put on shows at a few regular venues such as Atria’s, Nemacolin Woodlands, The Spaghetti Warehouse and other restaurants, but you can also request for a private show and even pick which themed script you want them to perform.
They have twelve distinctly themed scripts, though because of the troupe’s improvisational nature, you can never expect to see the same show twice. If you’re a Pitt student, they have a college show all about the demise of the dean. If you’re gearing up for the Holidays you can see a performance about Santa, the elves, and other Christmas characters gone bad. There’s a vampire show, a western, an opera, and even a Hitchcock Parody. For a younger audience, they also provide an age appropriate kids show. The list goes on. If you can’t find a theme that works for you, or have something else in mind, they can craft custom scripts as well.
On Saturday, before the special Star Trek show begins, you can hang out and talk with the cast or enjoy happy hour and food at the Backstage Bar. The murder mystery beings at 10:30PM and the audience’s willingness to participate can make the whole production that much more hilarious. The stage at the Cabaret at Theater Square offers an intimate show, so expect there to be some interaction!
Tickets for this comedic event are $5 at the door. We’re also giving away a pair of free tickets! The winner will be chosen on November 22nd. Follow the instructions below and keep an eye on your inbox. Good luck!
