The Steel City Secret Cinema Giveaway
It’s time for Steel City Secret Cinema once again. While the film is still a mystery to us, it’s no secret how great of a time it’ll be. The theme for the fourth installment is a little different than previous ones. Instead of showing a movie filmed in the Pittsburgh area, the theme is Bill Murray. So don’t bet on it being Groundhog Day or Kingpin. Anything Bill Murray goes, so we’re kind of hoping they go old school on us with Caddyshack or maybe even give us some 1980’s paranormal action with Ghostbusters.
Like events past, the evening will comprise of a pop-up art gallery featuring Mike Budai, who designed the event poster, and thirteen other visual artists who will all be bringing Bill Murray-themed pieces to be raffled off during the night. Some of the featured artists include: Stretch Carter, Heather Froman, and Brian Gonnella. Along with great art, you can expect a musical performance by Tracksploitation, delicious food provided by Market District, and much-needed beers from Roundabout Brewery.
Steel City Secret Cinema is a bi-annual event that uses its proceeds to benefit The Arts For Autism Foundation of Pittsburgh and The Hollywood Theater. On Friday, April 25th, The Hollywood Theater in Dormont will host the Billy Murray Edition with doors opening at 7PM and the event starting at 9PM. General Admission tickets cost $15 in advance and $20 at the door. If you want to upgrade, you can purchase a GA ticket with a limited edition poster and raffle ticket for $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Maybe you’re planning on going with that special someone.
