Life-Size Mousetrap Big Bash + Special Edition Party Pooper Giveaway!

Published On August 9, 2011 | By Kymbo Slice | Giveaways

The Life Size Mouse Trap takes everything you love about the original game and brings it to life. Lucky for us, it’s coming to Pittsburgh for the first time ever on August 13, courtesy of the lovely folks over at the Toonseum. Clearly, the Toonseum is much too small to hold a life-size mousetrap, so they got the next best thing – the Carnegie Science Center! The event combines science, music, food, drinks, juggling and the grand finale of a two-ton safe dropping from a 30 foot crane. It features local performers Phat Man Dee, Schell Games and variety circus acts to produce a one-of-a-kind spectacle that could entertain any age group. Best of all, this party is 21+, so leave the kids at home, get a little saucy and watch the Mousetrap without having to worry about cranky kids interrupting.

“This classic contraption comes to life as a gigantic, 25-ton machine with a vaudeville-style show that features dancing “mice” and live music. See “clown engineers” set off a chain reaction using Newtonian physics and bowling balls.” via Carnegie Science Center’s website. Don’t believe us? Check out this vid:

The event will be held at the Carnegie Science Center on August 13 from 7:30 to 10:30PM. Tickets are $40 until August 11 and $45 at the door and can be purchased here. Ticket price includes two performances of the Mousetrap, three complimentary drinks, live music and assorted cheeses and desserts. If that isn’t enough, they’re also offering discounted admission of $5 to their popular Laser Show or Omnimax. For more information, visit their Facebook or website.

If you’ve made it this far, you’re probably interested, which is why we’re going to throw you a bone, party pooper style! If you aren’t already familiar with our contests, let us explain: Take your best guess at what Pittsburgh bar this piece of graffiti appears in for a chance to be entered to win two tickets to the Life-Size Mousetrap Big Bash. Leave a comment on the blog or via Facebook and we’ll announce the winner this Friday, August 12. Good luck!

Hint: This piece of graffiti doesn’t appear in a bathroom, rather the entrance to a popular hillside bar.
