The Ember Giveaway
If you’re trying to party on that late night tip, your options are limited here in Pittsburgh. Our antiquated liquor laws, 2AM bar closing time with last call closer to 1:30 at most places, and lacking public transit options make it even more difficult to party in the public domain until the sun comes up. A select few, however, are working to change that, and a long time late night establishment is stepping its game up in terms of offering quality local DJs for those of you sober enough to make it there. Ember Afterhours at Tilden, “Pittsburgh’s only EDM afterhours club”, is a quarterly party that’s here to help you ease into your Sunday Funday. This special series of events features extended hours from some of your favorite guest DJs.
Ember is spearheaded by resident DJ, Tenova, of the Obvious crew. He grew up here in Pittsburgh and has been practicing music for most of his life. He touts himself as “passionate about progressive music and well versed in alternative sub genres of house music.” This young DJ/producer’s hard work ethic is just what Tilden needs to run a quality night.
Ember’s next party is this Sunday, February 23 and begins at 1AM (that’s Saturday night/ Sunday morning). In addition to Tenova, the night also features locals Mark Walczak and Chico. Located in the heart of the Downtown Cultural District above the 941 Saloon, Tilden is easy to find even while extremely buzzed. You can figure out how to get home later.
Booze will be flowing into the wee hours at this strictly 21-and-over event. You can pay $20 at the door, or you can save yourself some cash by entering our giveaway below. We’re giving away a pair of tickets to Saturday’s event. You must be 21 to enter! Good luck!
