Giveaway: Diesel's 6th Anniversary Party feat. LIL JON

Published On July 10, 2012 | By Kymbo Slice | Giveaways

Okay! You tryina get crunk this Friday night at Diesel’s 6th Year Anniversary Party? We sure are! And who better to get crunk with than one of the Kings of crunk – LIL JON!? I must admit I didn’t realize how many crucial releases of the past 10 years this guy was a part of until I did my homework for this post. There’s “The Whisper Song”…whose content is too explicit to even mention in a whisper within this paragraph. There’s also “Shake it Like a Salt Shaker” which brings Lil Jon together with the Ying Yang Twins for yet another timeless booty shakin’ banger. And then there’s “Get Low” – a song about sweatin’ and other things we shouldn’t revisit but have been quoted so many times in public that the very mention of the song has the chorus ingrained onto my inner voice’s repertoire. Lil Jon will be hitting Diesel Club Lounge at 9PM Friday, July 13 to pop off a weekend of celebrating for their 6th year anniversary.

Did you know that Lil Jon is known not only for his music, but also his charitable work. According to the venue, “The Celebrity Apprentice finalist donated $40,000 to the United Methodists Children’s Home, an organization close to his heart, as his siblings were adopted from foster care.” Who knew gangstas could do good things too?

Another neat fact: Diesel is set to open its brand new Skybar later this summer, so keep an eye on their Facebook for updates. For now, come party with them this weekend! Tickets for Friday can be purchased here. Or, you can try your hand at our latest giveaway. We’re giving away TWO pairs of tickets for Lil Jon this Friday. All you have to do is tell us the best show you’ve seen at Diesel and we’ll choose two winners at random. Please make sure you leave your e-mail in the comment section so we can notify the winner! Good luck!

Yooooo. I just turned 21 two months ago, and I’m tryna let Pittsburgh show me what’s up with their awesome club scene. I’m tryna have fun, turn that shit all the way up and bring a sexy lady guest with me with the extra ticket. I hope to win, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaahh!

  2. Terri Mathews says:
    Sharon Jones and the Dap-Kings

  3. Adam Rauf says:

Best show at Diesel probably has to be the Album Leaf. I thought it was going to be weird since they’re not really a “bar band” , but somehow, it worked out really nicely.

My favorite ever show at diesel was Fantomas, Melt Banana and End, but I’m not sure if it was Diesel yet, or still Nick’s Fat City. Favorite in recent memory was Obvious with XXXY and Moldy.

My best Diesel show would have to be El-p with Mr. Dibbs. It was on the tour for El-p’s Fantastic Damage album and arguably the album that launched his solo career. Mr Dibbs caught some shit for being from Ohio from the Pittsburgh audience but he laughed it off. El-p’s most recent album Cure for Cancer was made to benifit Mr. Dibbs who was diagnosed with liver cancer. I would guess they became great friends on that tour that stopped at Diesel and that was my favorite show.

  6. Nick D says:

Best show I can remember was Boris, Nachtmystium, and Torche.
