The Andy C Giveaway
Drum & Bass superstar Andy C is making his way to the Rex Theater thanks to the folks of 1337, who are also responsible for bringing the likes of Bassnectar, Pretty Lights and other reputable EDM acts to Pittsburgh. Most recently, Andy C was one of the only DnB acts to perform at this year’s Ultra Music Festival in Miami. While the genre isn’t currently as popular as the EDM fad or dubstep, Andy C comes from a time where it was followed by many, paving the way for the current state of the dance music industry. According to the promoter, Andy C is “regarded as one of the greatest DJs ever to touch a turntable” and Pittsburgh is lucky enough to have such a healthy and revived scene that he’ll be touching down in our fine city Tuesday, June 24.
MC Armanii Reign will also be on the stage that night. He’s toured with acts such as Goldie, DJ Craze, Kenny Ken, DJ SS and Dieselboy, serving as a frequent MC for many other top acts in the electronic music world.
