Embrace Your Wild Side at ZooBrew’s Spring Hop
Now’s the time to shake off those winter blues, hop into spring and gather with friends around the watering hole for the fifth annual ZooBrew: Spring Hops.
The group that brought you Zoo Brew Oktoberfest is back alongside the Pittsburgh Zoo and PPG Aquarium for their next installment. All people of legal drinking age will get a chance to enjoy the animals, three and a half hours of food and drink by Taste of the Wild Catering, along with all the choice craft brew Steel City has to offer.
Attendees will also enjoy a rare drink selection offered up by ZooBrew; organizers will be sampling Ocelot of Honey, an amber ale beer made just for the the Zoo & Aquarium by Rivertowne Brewing Company. The beer will additionally be available at Giant Eagle Market Districts, but only for a limited time.
A few menu items include: bavarian pretzel necklaces, spinach artichoke mac & cheese, BBQ chicken soft tacos with pineapple salsa, BBQ and sea salt chips, Mexican street corn with cojita cheese and cilantro lime aioli, beef brisket sliders with red pepper slaw, pierogies with garlic sauce, and kielbasa and paprika kraut. Dessert items will include delectable apple strudel ice cream sundaes.
Additonally, live music will be performed by three versatile acts, including favorite rock cover band, Big Treble, the German style Autobahn, and Disturbing the Peace DJs.
Visitors will also be given a commemorative mug for taking part.
