Beers of the Burgh Winter Warmer Festival
Finding your favorite seasonal beer can be challenging. Not only is there the hassle of asking the bartender over and over again for different samples, but most bars only keep a couple specialty beers on tap at a time. This is where the Beers of the Burgh Winter Warmer Festival comes in. This is the time and place for you to try as many fall and winter beers as you want while learning more about how they’re made. The best part? They’re all local!
The Beers of the Burgh Winter Warmer is a festival that focuses on featuring seasonal offerings from 30+ Western Pennsylvania breweries to help you get ready for another Pittsburgh winter. On Saturday, November 8th, local distributors will bring their own take on different varieties of fall beers like traditional, spiced, or pumpkin ales from home-breweries or established Pittsburgh favorites. Held the same warehouse where Art All Night is held (97 40th Street in Lawrenceville), this event might get chilly!
For designated drivers and drinkers alike, there will be food trucks to stave off hunger and help keep you warm if the drinks just aren’t enough! The PGH Pierogi Truck, Mac & Gold, Pittsburgh Smokehouse, and The Steer and Wheel will all be serving up hot food, so be sure to check out not only the local brews, but the vendors too. Zeke’s Coffee will also be selling their own fall ‘brews’ for those who need an afternoon pick-me-up.
There are three different tickets available: regular admission, which grants you admission and a keepsake tasting glass; VIP which gets you all of that, one hour early entry, plus a pretzel necklace, and complimentary catered food from Bar Marco. There is also a Designated Driver ticket as well that’s offered at a lower price, and grants access to a night of great food and music.
Proceeds from the Winter Warmer will benefit Variety the Children’s Charity to help support their mission of enabling children with disabilities to live life to the fullest. Live music will be performed by The Red Western who will be performing two sets at the festival.
