Step out for a good old-fashioned get down with the TITLE TOWN Soul & Funk Dance Party this Thursday at CMOA. Local collective City of Play will also be onsite creating fun games to play, where you can draw, curate your own museum collection, and more. Galleries will also be open throughout the duration of the evening, so if you need a break from game play and dancing, feel free to explore!

This year, Amachi Pittsburgh invites guests to tune in and groove out for a cause at their bi-annual fundraiser–“Silence is Golden.” Come correct and dressed to impress in metallic-chic attire, but don’t forget your dance shoes. Guests will select a set of special headphones, with the option to tune into one (or all!) of the night’s DJs on deck–including Selecta, Nate Da Barber and EYE JAY.

Art Olympics with Tom Sarverart-olympics

As part of this year’s Re:NEW Festival, local tastemaker Tom Sarver hosts the “Art Olympics”–an event series featuring three teams of artists competing to turn junk piles into winning sculptures. Audience members will also be selected for live interviews, where they can critique works in progress, provide theatrical commentary, engage in dialogue with local creatives, and take part in all the excitement.

In conjunction with the Cultural Trust, FashionAFRICANA presents the world premiere of THE WIZ LIVE! to celebrate the work of Tony Award winning costume designer, Paul Tazewell. The evening will feature costumes and other theatrical pieces from THE WIZ LIVE!, plus a private tour, cocktail reception, live performances, and more. Pittsburgh will be the only city to feature these costumes before they hit Broadway in 2017–be sure to grab your tickets in advance for a special sneak preview.
