Check out the video release party for local experimental duo, Metacara, which goes down at the Daily Bread office as part of their First Friday party series. Since last spring, Kyla and Vin have been making waves in the PGH with their EP, “Stone Love.” Now, they’re celebrating the release of their immersive new video for the single, “Hornets.” The video features visual interpretation from local filmmakers, 4TWELVE PICTURES, and dancers from Pitt’s hip hop crew. Additional musical support will come from Pittsburgh’s own, DJ Afterthought.

U.K. DJ-producer Skeptical is headed to the States on his nationwide tour, and he’ll be serving up a proper selection of cutting edge drum & bass music in the Burgh. The artist has made a name for himself in recent years with his contributions to producer collective, Module 8; plus, a multitude of releases on esteemed imprints from around the world, including Dispatch Recordings, Metalheadz, Soul:r and Exit Records UK, to name a few. The curated film fest strives to break boundaries of uncomfortable stigmas that plague the porn industry, and features a selection of 20 versatile video clips with participants competing for cash prizes. Check out Panorama Bar resident, Nick Höppner on Friday, with opening support from Tony Fairchild; and Massimiliano Pagliara on Saturday, with Clark Price on the decks to kick off the evening.
