Beginning this Friday, Bunker Projects will once again defy the conventions of art as they blend the visual arts with dramatic performance in the third annual Performance Art Festival. Back again as part of Three Rivers Arts Fest, PAF16 is bringing together more than 20 artists from around the city, the country and the world at SPACE Gallery downtown. With focus topics in everything from neuroscience to witchcraft, PAF16 is sure to bring an exciting, extensive range of performance art to their upcoming exhibition.

Aesop Rock’s “The Impossible Kid” tour is stopping in the 412. In one of his most authentic albums yet, the 40-year-old indie hip-hop knockout is throwing in more humor and serious lyricism about his background than ever before. Also featuring Rob Sonic, DJ Zone, and Homebody Sandman, you won’t want to miss this concert.

LazerCrunk 8th B-day with XXXY

For nearly a decade, the LazerCrunk collective has been bringing the party to Brillobox with genre-bending dance music, drinks and, of course, lasers. This Friday, they’ll celebrate their eighth year running with XXXY. Straight out of Berlin, XXXY brings a foreign twist to LazerCrunk’s club nights. And in honor of their 8th anniversary party, plenty more surprises will unfold.
Diego Album Release

Diego is dropping its debut, self-titled album this Friday! The record will be released live at James Street Gastropub and Speakeasy, along with on Spotify and iTunes. Be sure to stop by for a taste of the Pittsburgh band’s pop, rock, funk, and soulful sounds. The Burgh’s own Anjoy and PLAY will also be there to keep the party going, and a free download card for “Diego” is included with the price of admission.
Honcho’s 4 Year Anniversary Weekend – PGH Pride 2016

Honcho is back for its fourth year running, bringing with it a weekend full of fun activities during PGH Pride 2016. This year’s lineup includes a men-only bathhouse takeover at Club Pittsburgh, hot DJs, a feature in the Pittsburgh Pride parade, and an already-sold-out boat party. This year’s headlining act is KESHA! Grab your tickets in advance and head downtown to Pittsburgh’s biggest dance party to groove, eat, drink, and celebrate LGBT pride.

This weekend, PGH Pride 2016 brings forth the annual PrideFest celebration – a day-long free festival in the streets. This year’s PrideFest includes the Equality March, street performers, food booths, carnival games, and ongoing entertainment spaced out between three stages. Last year, the festival brought more than 100,000 people downtown; and this year it promises to be bigger than ever. Check out their website for a peep at all the festivities.
Weather Permitting Summer Celebration

Weather Permitting kicks off its season with the first of many Sunday outdoor concerts in Shadyside. For the fourth year, Weather Permitting will bring weekly fun with bands, beer, food trucks and a farmer’s marketplace.
