Drusky Entertainment and VIA present The Black Lips this weekend at Spirit. Hailing from hometown Atlanta, Georgia, the punk rock band has toured all over the world, becoming distinctively recognized for their psychedelic, comedic sound. Alongside The Black Lips will be DC’s Chain and the Gang, and local band Nox Boys. Doors open at 8PM; show starts at 9PM.
2-Minute Film Festival

Featuring the best and briefest films from around the world, the sixth installment of the 2-Minute Film Fest strives to show that creativity is limitless. Hosted by Carnegie Museum of Art and Row House Cinema, the event kicks off with opening night this Friday, followed by nearly a week’s worth of films. The films will be judged by local jurors, and this year’s awards include Critic’s Choice, Audience Favorite, and Best Local Film. Tickets range from $6.50 to $9, and you can grab them online now.

The annual Ladyfest makes its return to the 412 this weekend, bringing forth female artists from every corner of the city. Each year, Ladyfest continues to grow and celebrate DIY feminist arts, community-empowering women, and activism, with all proceeds from the event donated to the Women’s Center and Shelter. Wilkinsburg Dream City Art Walk

This Saturday, Wilkinsburg will share its best local artwork with the public in a daylong, free art walk. After a successful inaugural festival in 2015, more than 40 new and returning artists are excited to share their work throughout the art-centric community. The festival will take place at 12 different sites, all within walking distance, and attendees will be provided with a detailed map.

The Pittsburgh Community Food Bank is revving up their annual summer shindig this year, transforming the event into a day-long festival with a new structure and versatile artist lineup. In addition to traditional blues features in previous years, the lineup includes a wide range of indie bands, presenting a fresh take on the former concept and taking on a unique new vibe. Dubbed Feed More Festival, the fun goes down this Sunday at Stage AE. The lineup includes Cold War Kids; The Lone Bellow; The Stone Foxes; Lucy Dacus; The Commonheart; Derek Woodz Band; Swiss Army; Angela Autumn Cash; The Mixus Brothers; and The Pawnbrokers.
