The Professional & Amateur Pinball Association World Championships returns to the PGH this spring for another global showdown. For those unaware, PAPA is the most competitive pinball event held anywhere in the world, bringing 1000+ players and spectators together for four solid days of old school pinball battles. The event features four major divisions for competitors in various skill levels, plus three classics tournaments featuring older machines. Celebrate with the Spirit crew at their first anniversary party this weekend: a celebration to reminisce on great memories and pave the way for new traditions. The crew invites guests to party their asses off on both levels, with lodge performances by Chocolate Boombox DJs and Joe Bickle; plus hall performances from Grand Buffet, The Gotobeds, Jordan Weeks, FOSTER CARE, Shaky Shrines, SOFTSPOT, Giggly Boys, TWIZ (AKA Old Dream), & Phat Man Dee. Thing Change is the latest solo exhibition created by Wilkinsburg artist Haylee Ebersole–a body of work that represents her take on the “anthropocenic landscape” and traces she contemplates our human existence may leave behind. Artwork featured includes an array of vaporous, dense sculptural objects floating between the familiar forms of man-made objects and the unruly formations of organic matter. Ebersole’s unique approach incorporates rare materials such as crystallized gelatin, storage containers, trash and architecture to create abstract objects, motifs, and images that infiltrate our daily lives–from archaeological finds, to organic matter, to geological formations, and man-made objects.

This spring’s Vintage PGH will feature over 40 local vendors selling genuine vintage fashion, accessories, housewares, vinyl, home décor, artwork, books, toys, small furniture, and collectibles in conjunction with the upcoming Toys of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s exhibition.
