This Friday, artist Vanessa German presents her latest work at AIR. Titled dontsaythatshitoutloud, German’s artworks fuse poetry, photography, printmaking, collage and sculpture to explore ideas surrounding community violence, healing and confronting our deepest emotions, secrets and insecurites. Exhibition hours will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-10PM during Open Studio and by appointment.

The second installment in a series of Pittsburgh fundraisers for Bernie Sanders kicks off this weekend with a stacked lineup of fresh performances. Bands will be playing on both levels throughout the night, and music will be provided by talented musicians found all around Pittsburgh. All event proceeds will be split between performers and donations to Sanders’ fundraiser. In addition to the music, a limited number of Made in America t-shirts will also be available for purchase onsite!

Step into the Gym and celebrate Prevention Point Pittsburgh‘s 20th year of providing harm reduction for drug use in Pittsburgh. The evening kicks off with the opening reception to honor PPP’s founders Caroline Acker and James Crow, which will be hosted by Tony Silvestri and Mike Sutherland. Guests will also enjoy hor d’oeuvres by The Whitfield, a cash bar for drinks, and a private concert by The Beagle Brothers. Afterwards, put your dancing shoes on for the afterparty with D.C. DJs of the The NeedlExchange (TNX) collective.

Tenth Third Brunch Block Walk

This year’s participants include Hop Farm Brewing Company, Metamorphosis Organic Salon, Atelier Glass Studio, The Butterwood Bake Consortium, Nied’s Hotel, and many more; plus, eats and treats at 54th and Butler’s parking lot party from Second Breakfast, La Palapa, Millie’s Ice Cream, and several others.
