The Pittsburgh Social Exchange 2013 Holiday Party

It’s that time of year for holiday office parties, you know, where you get inappropiately drunk in front of your boss, and perhaps xerox your ass cheeks on the office copier? Not exactly a classy affair, right? This year we recommend you attend The Pittsburgh Social Exchange’s 2013 Holiday Party instead, at Stage AE on Wednesday, December 18th.

First of all, it’s at Stage AE, so it’s automatically cooler than getting shitfaced in the same place you host your weekly strategy meetings. Secondly, instead of being bored to death by Dan in accounting, you’ll get to rub elbows with important local VIPs, such as local celebrities, business owners, corporate level executives, and entrepreneurs. Last year’s holiday party hosted 600 guests, so there will be plenty of interesting people to connect with!

The Pittsburgh Social Exchange is one of the most successful networking groups in the area. Throughout the year they host lavish parties at unique venues, bringing together important movers and shakers of all kinds. When we interviewed them last year, they mentioned that they, “catered to a very exclusive group of clientele that no one else in the city had the capability of getting in same room together.” In the past, they’ve also hosted an Oktoberfest at The Rivers Casino and “Pittsburgh’s Largest Happy Hour” at Luke Wholey’s Alaskan Grille.

Tickets for the festivities vary, they start at $15 for PSE members, $45 for non-members, but all ticket prices go up tomorrow, so act fast! You can also snag VIP tickets, which include an open bar from 5-6PM. All guests will enjoy complimentary hors d’oeuvres, a chance to get some sweet stuff in the raffle, auction or a door prize, and live music from the Elite Show Band (expect to hear some upbeat pop standards). Business attire is recommended, and be sure to bring your biz cards to give to your new connections!
