Thanksgiving Eve Party Guide
I don’t know about you, but I’m always hungrier the day after a hearty night of boozin’. Perhaps this is why November 23 is touted as the “biggest drinking night of the year” – which doesn’t make much sense to me. I’d never heard of this notion until I moved to Pittsburgh, but hey, I’ll take it. While I’ll be en route to enemy territory to spend my Thanksgiving, I won’t leave you high and dry. Here are some options for your Pre-Turkey Day festivities. And as always, be safe, don’t drink too much and save room for dinner!
Thanksgiving Eve Party at Cattivo
Night Before Thanksgiving Rager at S Bar
Operation Sappho: Sexy Librarian at Brillo
The Hang Lows at Excuses Thanksgiving Eve
Black(out) Wednesday at Lava Lounge
Riches to Rags Holiday Soiree featuring Sweet Earth at The Rex
6th Annual Retro Thanksgiving Eve at Z:Lounge
Thanksgiving Eve Party at Mixx
Thanksgiving Eve Dance Party at Cruze
Thanksgiving Feast of Fists at Stage AE
This is by no means all-encompassing, as every bar under the sun usually has some type of Pre-Thanksgiving festivities. These are just some options to make your choices easier. If I were going out, here’s what I would recommend hitting up:
Matt Darey at Static – I hear he’s good. We like Static. You can dance there.
Riches to Rags Holiday Soiree featuring Sweet Earth at The Rex – Anything with the word “soiree” in it is worth checking out. Plus, we like the Rex. Good peeps. Good sound.
6th Annual Retro Thanksgiving Eve at Z:Lounge – We’re a fan of tradition, so we’d expect a lot from an event that’s in its 6th year. We also heart Z:Lounge. Congrats to Ova on his new baby!
Thanksgiving Feast of Fists at Stage AE – MMA! Get that testosterone flowin’ before you chow down on some grub. There aren’t too many opportunities to see MMA events in Pittsburgh, so take advantage!
FUZZ! Featuring DJ G at BBT – The guys over at FUZZ are especially excited to bring seasoned dubstep producer DJ G to Pittsburgh for a Thanksgiving Eve celebration that’s sure to be one for the books!
Stay tuned for a special Turkey Day edition of NakNoise. You’ll need some jams to tune out the fam once they start getting on your nerves!
