Secondhand Sketch Show
There’s a new sketch comedy group in town… and it goes by the name of Secondhand Sketch. On November 28 and 29, the group, comprised of five Pittsburgh based comedians, will debut at the Arcade Comedy Theater to perform sketches that cover a number of topics centered around a common theme. Novembers theme? ‘An Ode to Misfits and the Outcasts!’
The sketch features a mix of live and video sketches. Each member portrays various characters that explore the theme through skits, musical numbers, and monologues. Any pop culture or societal hot topics are up for discussion in this show. The group has a background in stand up and improv comedy, and is made up Krish Mohan, Kat Caringola, Derek Minto, Chelsea Sweithelm, and Rob Speer.
Krish Mohan is an Indian comedian that is known for doing routines based on his cultural experiences here in America. He is also a part of a comedy group Almost Infamous, where he frequently performs with Secondhand crew members Sweithelm and Caringola. Rob Speer is an original Pittsburgher, but spent some time in Chicago studying at the Second City conservatory.
Tickets will be available at the box office or here for $10 ($5 for students). Both Friday and Saturday shows will start promptly at 10pm. The Arcade Comedy Theater is BYOB for those that are 21+.
