Luna Rising: A Full Moon Festivity Done Right
July’s onset marks the rising of midsummer’s Buck Moon, as well as the start of what we hope will become a new ‘Burgh tradition with many full moon bashes to come. On Wednesday, July 1, Dos Equis will put forth their creative efforts and join forces with L-ville’s hometown staple, Arsenal Bowling Lanes, to host the Luna Rising Bowling Tournament.
Luna Rising is inspired by the full moon’s power to bring forth and embrace potential possibilities like letting loose with old friends, forming connections with new ones, and cultivating an adventurous spirit – “…all you need is a little moonlight and some Dos Equis.”
And where better to host the party other than Arsenal Lanes – a beloved community establishment that’s been bringing people together under its roof since the ’60s.
The first 44 teams to register will secure a spot in the tournament, and all team members can bowl for free; registration also includes a complementary Dos Equis beverage for players to quench their thirst.
After the first round of games, the eight highest scoring teams will advance to the playoffs. And in spirit of the full moon’s rising–winner takes all. Winning team members will score a Bushnell telescope for optimum lunar viewing experiences, along with a plentiful stash of Dos Equis merch.
The tournament takes place from 7-9PM; teams are required to have three players; and all players must be present for check-in between 6:15-6:45PM.
Early birds can even score extra points at the door – the first 50 attendees to arrive will receive an additional Dos Equis beverage on the house.
Now’s the time to grab teammates and get registered, but don’t forget to bring your drinking boots and your A-game…
Until then, stay thirsty, my friends.
