By now, you probably know that I loooove Christian Bale. Uh, I mean you probably know the final chapter of the Batman series is being filmed in Pittsburgh for the next month. What better way to welcome the cast and production crew than in the same vein as their movie? This is why Pittsburgh-based Lightwave International projected the bat signal onto the Highmark building yesterday. It wasn’t for the movie, it was Pittsburgh’s way of saying “welcome”.

If you were at last year’s amazing Ghostland Observatory show at Mr. Smalls, you know what’s up with Lightwave. Their light shows are considered to be some of the best in the world. My homegirl Lele got to meet the owner, George, who contributed behind-the-scenes photos to this article about the Batman projections. Needless to say, the guy’s a genius. Lighwave has toured with the likes of Rihanna, Tom Petty, MIA, Madonna, Korn, Little Boots and many more. Peep our Ghostland photos to see what we’re talking about:

We’re glad a company like that has chosen to call Pittsburgh its home. We’re even more glad such a huge production like Batman has chosen to film in Pittsburgh, and we’ll be even more glad when I become impregnated with Christian Bale’s love child. Don’t think I forgot, Mr. Bale – I’mma find you. In fact, I know where you are right now! One of my friends, Mr. B-Tips just shared this fine little photo on Facebook:

Puh-lease, it’s like 90 degrees today, I know that can’t be real snow in Lawrenceville! You’re making it too easy, Batman.

Seems like everyone’s getting in the Batman spirit these days. Check out this awesome design from Commonwealth Press, which I believe they’re putting on t-shirts:

Would it be tacky if I left this tee on while making sweet, sweet love to CB? Maybe I will get him to sign it…genetically.
