After Hours @ the Library

For most of us, libraries are a place to get down to business. Hushed voices, gallons of coffee and students galore are the norm. Once in a while, however, the Carnegie Library System transforms the space into a party atmosphere and invites the public to partake in entertainment and libations. Put those books down and relax for once at the library. This Friday, it’s a must! They’re ditching their traditional “after hours” format for a happy hour, so you can get your buzz on early right after work and still have time to do something else afterwards. The convenient downtown location makes it easy for professionals and the like to hop on over after leaving their offices to enjoy a little bub and grub.

$35 at the door (presales are now closed) will go to a great cause – the Carnegie Library System – and get you the following:

Live music from Phat Man Dee & The Cultural District
Charcuterie samples courtesy of Bar Marco.
5-hour Energy samples.
Make your own wine charms with YELP.
And you can finally find out: “Are You Smarter than a Librarian?”
Two complimentary glasses of wine and light food are also included in the ticket price.

View some photos from past After Hours events and hop on over to the Carnegie Library’s downtown location this Friday from 5:30 to 7:30PM!
