The Big Warmup
Do you love to camp but aren’t feeling quite up to it because it’s the middle of January? Rocking Horse Artspace has the solution for you! It’s called The Big Warmup and it’s happenin this Saturday the 7th at the gallery. Tent setup is tonight, so if you’d like a spot, grab your tent and come post it this evening! Don’t forget booze, of course!
Here’s the best part – they’re turning the heat off. While it won’t be as cold as it would be outside, it will still be chilly, so make sure to bring lots of blankets or friends to cuddle with, you’ll need it!

I can’t think of anything going on this weekend in the PGH that’s quite as unique as this. So if your curiosity is sparked, pop on over! Saturday is open to the public from 4-10PM. We’ll let you know how the afterparty goes 🙂
Rocking Horse has some great programming coming up, such as:
The Rocking Horse Open on Friday, January 27 – The gallery invites artists to submit up to two pieces of work to their first semi-annual open show. Submission cost is $10 (for 1 or 2 pieces). Artwork will be juried by gallery members and a guest judge for consideration of a Rocking Horse award.
Kyle Anthony Adams: A Retrospective on Friday, February 17 – If you know this guy, then I don’t need to say much else. Over 100 Paintings, Kyle’s 2 main bodies of work (Expressionism & Abstraction) will be examined and explained.
Folktastica 12.0 on Friday, March 23 – A live folk series featuring music from The H Brothers, Christopher Hannigan, Mauk & Yates, Broken Fences, Jody Perigo and Laura Totten.
Be sure to stop by Rocking Horse Artspace sometime soon and check out this hidden Lawrenceville gem!
