The Animated Holidaze Giveaway

Bricolage Midnight RadioWe made the mistake of calling Bricolage‘s latest Midnight Radio a “family-friendly” affair last week via Twitter. After a polite message and actually having seen the show, we definitely have to rescind that comment. Midnight Radio: Animated Holidaze is far from child-friendly, and because of that, we love it. Leave the kiddos at home for this one and take them to see The Nutcracker instead. This edition of Midnight Radio is an adult-only comedic affair that is perfect for both holiday lovers and grinches alike.

Whether you hate or love Christmas, we think you’ll be in stitches during all parts of Animated Holidaze, which takes beloved classics like Dr. Seuss’ The Grinch, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and other television gems we all grew up with, and dubs over them with live voice-overs, sound effects and musical accompaniment. Of all the Midnight Radios we’ve had the pleasure of attending, this one had us consistently laughing from beginning to end, with barely enough breaks to continue live tweeting.

Not to mention, we finally got the chance to see Cello Fury, who has a larger musical presence compared to other shows we’ve seen at Bricolage. The stellar writing, excellent casting and voice acting, and awesomeness of Cello Fury really made for a top notch experience.

We encourage all of you to grab tickets while you still can, and embrace the holidays, even if you’re reluctant. Bricolage’s unique blend of humor puts a great spin on an otherwise overdone occasion and makes the season a bit more bearable. The show runs this Friday and Saturday at 9PM. Be sure to enter their raffle for a pair of tickets to this Sunday’s Steelers game against the Bengals! All proceeds benefit the theater.

You can also enter our giveaway for your chance to win a pair of tickets. Simply leave a comment below with your favorite holiday film and you’ll be automatically entered to win!
