People-checking-out-art-at-Gallery-CrawlWe love gallery crawls in Pittsburgh and we’re looking forward to this year’s installment of Crawl After Dark on July 11. The folks at the Cultural Trust will be bringing you a set of late-night, arts activities and throwing the party of the summer at the 8th annual Cosmopolitan Pittsburgh Party at the August Wilson Center. It starts at 7PM for VIPs and 9PM for general admission, and runs until midnight. Tickets range from $25-$125, and if you show your Crawl map at the door, you can get a $5 discount.

The VIP party will be brought to you by First Commonwealth Bank and catered by rock star chefs from restaurants like Cure, Grit & Grace, Root 174, and Round Corner Cantina. The jazzy Cait Cuneo Band will be there for your listening pleasure. At 9PM, it’s time to dance to beats by DJ Adam Salter from San Diego, enjoy some tasty desserts, and drink signature cocktails. This artsy party is 21+.

There’s also the Harris Theater at 9:15PM for a $5 screening of Fateful Findings from Pittsburgh Filmmakers. It’s an absurdist, dead-pan thriller about a computer hacker with some serious secrets to share.

Arcade Comedy Theater is going to be dishing out some wacky comedy with Electric Slidez: PowerPoint Karaoke Throwdown. The comedians, improvisers, and public speakers performing will be given a random and unpredictable PowerPoint presentation that they’ll have to work to make sense of during their performance. The event is $5 admission and 18+. It’s BYOB and starts at 10:15PM. For a free jazz show, head down to Andy’s at the Fairmont Hotel, featuring the musical styles of Spanky Wilson from 8PM to midnight. For some educational fun, you can take a salsa lesson at 10PM by visiting Cabaret at Theater Square for Salsa Fridays. With no cover and a cash bar, it’s the perfect opportunity to get your groove back. You’ll have the chance to show off your moves from 10:30PM to 1:30PM during a set by DJ Jeff Shirley, perfectly tailored for a night of dancing.

They’ve covered all the bases to bring you a fun-filled night with plenty to do. You can check out information from Pittsburgh Cultural Trust for more details, and tickets for the Cosmopolitan Party are available here.
