Plenty of Pittsburgh news to discuss in our Weekly News Roundup! This week, Three River Arts Fest announced their concert lineup, Aaron Paul invited all of Pgh out for a drink, and once again we made some good and bad listicles. Scroll down for that latest 412 scoop!

In bar news, Dive Bar in Grille opened in Lawrenceville, though it seems like it may be more upscale that its name implies. Then every yinzer’s favorite dive bar, Jack’s, had some Hollywood action, when Aaron Paul invited all of the Burgh to have a drink with him! And last but not least another favorite local dive, 31st Street Pub, made national news for their Underwear Afternoons.

On the not so nice listicle front, we found an article touting Pittsburgh as #3 in the nation’s rudest cities, although the logic was based on the amount of swearing used in Foursquare check ins. Don’t they realize we just have f*%$king potty mouths? Then, Matador Network gave us the standard ‘Signs yinz is from da Burgh’ list…all the usual suspects are there- fries on sandwiches, pretty skylines, all the basic stereotypes.

Lots of music news this week as well…Three River Arts Festival announced their concert lineup and local mash up master Girl Talk, discusses his upcoming projects and his take on the future of the music industry with Pitchfork. Meanwhile, Kellee Maize shares her tips on how to make it in the ever-evolving music industry on HuffPost. On a sad note, Gwar frontman Dave Brockie passed away this week. R.I.P Dave.

Fortunately none were that secret and our hidden pathways are safe! Now, if you’re looking for where Pittsburgh’s least faithful reside, CBS shared the lowdown

On to the accolades! PNC Park was voted Best Ballpark in America, and Cafe Phipps at the Phipps Conservatory and Gardens was voted one of the Best Museum Restaurants in the US! While visitors to Pittsburgh will certainly want to check both of those awesome venues out, if they’re looking for FREE fun in the 412, they’ll need to check this list of Top 5 Free Things To Do. And last but not least, UPMC Presby in now on call to perform suspended animation for gunshot and knife wound victims, buying precious time to save their lives! Pretty amazing, huh?
