Making Music To Heal

We’ve all had some tough times. The way hard times are dealt with, however, is a true sign of a person’s character. Whether you’ve been personally affected by tragedy or know someone who has, you’ve probably seen the ways in which things can go from bad to worse. Music is often a source of therapy and stress-relief for those enduring bad times. Many brilliant, tortured souls have poured their thoughts and feelings into music. Native Pittsburgher Kaaren Alise aka Kaaren Styles and Florida-based Web Three have taken a horrible turn of events and put it into song. Listen up, you might learn a thing or two about how to make the most of a dire situation.

Musician Kaaren Styles recently teamed up with Web Three for a song dedicated to the memory of Troy Longhurst, who co-owned the label Death Proof Records along with Web Three. Longhurst’s life was cut short when he went to visit a friend who was going through some emotional struggles and ended up getting shot by the same friend he was trying to help.
