The DJ List Progressive Pittsburgh Party
The DJ List has had a busy summer full of interviewing different DJs, that were either born in Pittsburgh or currently live here, as part of their Progressive Pittsburgh project. Their process helped them get an inside look at the ever-expanding electronic music scene in Pittsburgh and the entertainers behind it. Putting together all of this info on the local scene could really only lead to one thing: a giant Progressive Pittsburgh Party featuring the our hometown DJs they got to know in their process.
On Friday, Oct. 17, The DJ List is teaming up with Haitian Families First to present the first annual Progressive Pittsburgh Party. Hosted at the Brillobox, the party will kick-off at 6pm and end when the bar closes at 2am. $10 at the door gets you live music from Pittsburgh DJs Strobe, Buku, The Kosmonauts, Tenova, and more. There will also be international food and drinks, crafts, games, basket raffles, chances to win tickets to upcoming concerts, and dancing.
All ticket proceeds will go Haitian Families First. The non-profit organization focuses on providing medical, educational, and nutritional support to struggling families inPort-au-Prince, Haiti. Many mothers and families are forced to put their children up for adoption because of a lack of adequate funding and medical care, so sisters Jamie and Ali McMutrie started the organization here in Pittsburgh to help families stay together and out of government institutions.
If you’re ready to let loose for a good deed, head out to The DJ List’s Progressive Pittsburgh Party. Not only are you supporting Haitian Families First in its ever-growing need for funding, but local DJs too!
