CCOne of the last shows on 6119‘s roster is Cold Cave, darkwave synth pop made by Wesley Eisold, former vocalist of many hardcore bands and resident bad ass. Anyone with face and neck tats automatically gets that accolade no matter what type of music they make. Cold Cave marks Eisold’s first attempt at utilizing instrumentation in his work, as he’s missing a hand so tackling the drums and guitar aren’t likely, making pedals and synths much more plausible. He is also the founder of the publishing house Heartworm Press, which has released material from tour mate Boyd Rice.

Check out a B side from Cold Cave’s recent 7″ release, “Black Boots”:

Joining the Cold Cave + Boyd Rice Pittsburgh tour stop will be visuals by Erin Womack, as well as locals Fogged Out and The Garment District, who you might remember from last year’s VIA.

The Garment District is the project of multi-instrumentalist Jennifer Baron, a founding member of Brooklyn’s The Ladybug Transistor. Her latest release, a three-song 7″, features a remix of “Nature-Nurture”, which was a 2012 DATA Award finalist. The Garment District will be performing as an ensemble, much like they did at The Andy Warhol Museum last fall, with Jennifer Baron on synthesizer, organ, melodica and backing vocals; Jennifer’s cousin Lucy Blehar on lead vocals; Jennifer’s husband Greg Langel on keyboards; d/s/miller on guitar, Corry Drake on bass, and Andrew McKeon on drums. This all goes down Friday, June 21 at 9PM at 6119. Tickets are $10 in advance, $12 day of show.
