The National has a brand new album out, titled, Trouble Will Find Me and it’s garnering the band another wave of positive attention following the 2005 and 2007’s critically-acclaimed releases Alligator and Boxer. The new album finds the band in a more “self-assured” place, paying tribute to a “fully evolved artistic vision” that aims for a sound “more airy and less uptight and anxious” than their past releases. They’re set to hit Stage AE June 11th with the Dirty Projectors – a killer billing that’s on pace to sell out by the weekend.
Peep their website for a slew of recent videos, and check out their new album which is available through all the normal channels. They just headlined the inagural Boston Calling festival over the Memorial Day holiday alongside bands like The Walkmen, Matt & Kim, Fun. and more.
Grab your tickets here before they’re sold out…and they WILL sell out. Trust us. They’re under $40 bucks with fees, which is a deal for two solid bands that don’t hit Pittsburgh too often. You can also try your hand at our giveaway below. We’ll give two tickets to the winner, who will be notified via e-mail and must respond within 24 hours to confirm. Good luck!
