The Claude VonStroke Giveaway
If you peek at Claude VonStroke’s Facebook page, you might notice the following statement: “If you want to act cool and not have any fun then please do not book him.” If this past weekend’s whirlwind dance events were any indication of how Pittsburgh likes to get down, then it should be clear that our population likes to have fun and moderation seems to be a word missing from the vocabularies of many. We’re ready to do it all again this Saturday when Dirtybird boss man and EDM producer extraordinaire Claude VonStroke touches down at Mr. Smalls for a night of memorable dancing and other hotness. We’re particularly excited because we had the chance to interview him during Detroit’s Movement festival earlier this year. This down to earth fella said he hadn’t played in Pittsburgh before, so we couldn’t be happier to give him a proper welcome. Special props to Obvious for putting this all together.
In addition to the talented CVS on the decks, Pittsburgh’s own Buku will be opening the show. You might remember him from a recent Obvious event at Belvederes or when he played a Humanaut showcase. Check out a recent mix from him below:
There will also be a fashion portion of the evening, starting promptly at 8:30, with sounds before and during the show from Gusto, a member of the Detour crew we recently interviewed. The fashion show features designs from locals Elaine Healy, Makayla Wray, Alex Bietler and Romina Vairo.
To make for a well-rounded experience, art will also be present. Enjoy an exhibit featuring the following local artists: Casey Hallas, Will McLaughlin, Anthony Cerilli, Jason Furda, James Gyre, Seth Storck, Moze and more.
There’s a little something for everyone at this event, which begins at 7PM on Saturday, December 15 at Mr. Smalls. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased here. If you’re low on cash because of the holidays, enter our giveaway for a chance to win a pair of tickets. Simply follow the Rafflecopter instructions below and we’ll select a winner at random on Friday, December 14th.
