Method Man & Redman Giveaway
Five years after their studio release of Blackout 2! and Lights Out mixtape the East Coast American hip-hop duo, Method Man & Redman are hitting the road for The World Wide Rollers Tour kicking off today in Providence, Rhode Island. The Smokers Club brings the tour to Stage AE on October 22nd and we’re giving away a pair of tickets below!
Method Man & Redman, also known as Red & Mef or Mr. Mef and Funk Doc, have been partners in crime since the early 1990s and are both signed with Def Jam Records. Both as solo artists and with their hip-hop groups, Wu-Tang Clan and Def Squad, the two have collaborated with artists like Tupac, LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, The Notorious B.I.G, and more.
In 1999, the duo released what is now considered one of the most iconic albums in ’90s hip-hop. Blackout! sold over 254,000 copies in the first week and instantly went to number three on the Billboard charts. This album led to the release of their 2001 film, How High, for which they not only portray two stoners who miraculously end up at Harvard University, but also worked on the well-received soundtrack.
This is the fourth annual Smoker’s Club Tour celebrating the weed culture and the music behind it. Started in 2010, The Club started as a small internet community and has grown to encompass a clothing brand, record label, and a line of high-end smoking products.
