Com Truise Giveaway
With a sound from the future via an 80’s perspective, producer and designer, Com Truise, aka Seth Haley, keeps cranking out tunes like he’s got them on a conveyor belt. He’s been on the grind for decades under various aliases including Sarin Sunday, SYSTM, and Airliner, working as a DJ before he transitioned to making his own stuff. You can check out his work on September 17th at the Altar Bar. Doors open at 8PM and SURVIVE opens. Tickets can be bought here for $13-$15 or you can enter to win a pair below.
The record label, AMDISCS, dropped his first album, Cyanide Sisters, for free in 2010 with such singles as “Sundriped” and “Komputer.” His latest album, Wave 1, came out earlier this year with popular tracks like “Declination” and “Subsonic.”
His songs typically bounce from a mellow, slow and liquid like sound on one track to choppy and electronic on another. Just as the songs themselves distort, the style calls forth a nostalgia to something that’s already distorted in the mind. Haley himself describes his songs as “mid-fi synth-wave, slow-motion funk,” but it might be best to label him as ‘experimental.’
At his concerts, listeners will feel like they are part of a video game. In the moment, Com Truise’s music gives you a technological adventure feeling. It’s broken. It’s twisted. It’s beautiful. Be a part of the trippy experience and enter our giveaway below.
