Cold War Kids Giveaway
“Clanging on heat pipes, thumping on plywood walls. Hollering into tape recorders. Slipping and swaying into alleyways and juke joints of yesteryear.” This is the legend of how beloved Cali rockers, Cold War Kids, got their start in a storage room attic above Mulberry Street Ristorante. Since the band’s 2004 inception, the guys have accomplished much success, releasing multiple albums, touring the world, and securing longevity with a wide-ranged fanbase.
If you haven’t heard the news already, the rock/punk/soul outfit will be in Pittsburgh on Tuesday, March 17 to perform alongside Nevada Color at Stage AE. The legendary artists will be performing their 2013 album, “Dear Miss Lonelyhearts,” and their most recent work, “Hold My Home.” Both albums combine Nathan Willett’s melodic vocals with heavy percussion, deep bass, and twangy guitar to pull it all together.
Pittsburgh’s very own indie-pop group, Nevada Color, will be joining Cold War Kids for their upcoming performance, and playing their first full-length LP, “Adventures.” Check out one of the tracks from the album below!
