Your favorite spot to patio drink, eat tacos and sip on Mexican beer is celebrating its 5th year of being in business this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. And since they go hard, they’re providing you with four opportunities to celebrate this notable occasion. You only turn five once! Whether you’re into the classic hip hop sounds of DJ Scratch, the tropical bass of Peligrosa, or day drinking bottomless mimosas in the sun, they’ve got something for you. The party kicks off Thursday night with karaoke and $4 sangrias. Don’t miss the rest of the weekend’s prime chance to go hard while eating well and sippin’ on a Bloody Maria…or 12.

Friday: Gold Series Feat. DJ Scratch + Bamboo

They’ve been killin’ it with their Gold Series lately, and they’re bringin out the big guns for their 5-year anny celebration. DJ Scratch is lauded as one of the greats, a “DJ’s DJ” and is well respected and known across the world. He is one of the best turntablists of our lifetimes, possessing countless accolades. Most recently he’s won the 2012 & 2013 Global Spin Awards’ “Turntablist Of The Year” designation. If you’re a hip-hop fan there is absolutely no reason to miss this. You’d be a fool. Joining Scratch will be resident DJ Bamboo, another talented fella who has been holdin it down every weekend alongside the heavy hitters Cantina keeps bringin’ in to make the dance floor go off each Friday. Tickets for this event are $10 after 10. We’d recommend getting there early for this one because it’s gonna be pretty legit.

Saturday: Peligrosa + Pandemic

Pandemic Pete has been slowly creepin’ his way into Cantina’s scene, and it’s a perfect fit. He’ll be hosting a Latin/tropical bass-themed evening alongside DJ/production/artist collective Peligrosa. The whole crew won’t be in attendance, but you can expect Orion and King Louie to throw down hard. These cats are from Austin, and they know a thing or two about a good taco. Their unique sound is heavily influenced by the cultures of South America, Africa and parts of Europe. Come school yourself for the night and get acquainted with music from other parts of the world. This one’s gonna cost ya $5 after 10PM.

Sunday: Brunch Party w/ Urbanist

Fellow PGH publication and PGH lover Urbanist has been throwin Sunday brunch parties at Cantina on the reg, and with $30 bottomless mimosas this can only result in one thing: bellies full of OJ and buzzes galore. Reservations for this event usually fill up in advance, so try emailing info@roundcornercantina to ensure your spot. They have one of the best brunches in town, and the patio’s atmosphere can’t be beat. You get to kill three birds with one stone – grubbin’, drinkin’ and tannin’. Peligrosa will return for an encore performance, making for an even better experience for those lucky enough to get a reservation. If you aren’t partied out by now, you didn’t go hard enough. See you at the anny!
