The Beers of the Burgh Festival
Last year Pittsburgh topped USA Today’s list of most bars per capita, so we already know Pittsburghers love a great drink. But with so many craft breweries around town, some of you might find it difficult to sample them all. Luckily there is the perfect event coming up, showcasing the over 20 local breweries from the greater Pittsburgh area. Get ready for the Beers of the Burgh Festival. Proceeds for this event will benefit Neighborworks Western Pennsylvania, an organization that works towards stable communities through financial empowerment and home ownership.
On Saturday April 12 from 5-8pm, Beers of the Burgh takes over the Fort Willow Warehouse in Lawrenceville. Inside you can celebrate “three rivers united by beer.” Enjoy walking indoors and outdoors through the stands, sampling 60+ local beers. Not only will you expand your beer knowledge, but you can also enjoy music, games, and food from Franktuary, Nakama, Oh My Grill, BRGR, and Pittsburgh Smokehouse. No tickets will be sold at the door and online tickets are going quick. The standard admission has already sold out, but some VIP tickets are still available. VIP tix are $79.99 and get you in at 4:30pm, 30 minutes before everyone else arrives. Early entrance means shorter lines, which means more beer! Plus, you’ll get access to the VIP area catered by Harris Grill. In addition to a belly full of Burgh beers, at the end of the event you walk away with a keepsake tasting glass.
If beer is not your drink of choice, or you want to make sure your buddies get home safe, consider purchasing a designated driver ticket. For just $15 you can enjoy the same great food, music and game as everyone else. You just might be the only one to remember it the next day! However, if you don’t have that kind of willpower, we understand.
