Fulfill your Nostalgic Desires at the PGH Vintage Mixer
Take a journey back in time at Pittsburgh’s one-of-a-kind vendor fair that strives to create harmony within the community, inspire creativity and bring back old memories. The Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer got its start by gathering local collectors and small vintage businesses under one roof.
Now into its fifth year, the Pittsburgh Vintage Mixer will kick off this edition with the Night Owl, an exclusive pre-sale shopping night on November 6, before continuing into their main event mixer November 7.
The Mixer’s Night Owl pre-sale party goes down Friday the 6th from 6-9PM at Teamsters Hall Local 249 in Lawrenceville. Night Owl ticket holders will be able to enjoy early access to shopping, live music from The Gothees – a pop-punk rock band playing throwback tunes from the 60s to the 80s – and tasty beverages provided by the Allegheny Wine Mixer. Entertainment will also be provided by Pittsburgh’s resident drag queen, Alora Chateaux, with additional activities provided by event sponsors Handmade Arcade and the Carnegie Museum of Art.
Tickets for Night Owl are limited and can only be purchased online. Attendees will receive a Vintage Mixer tote bag, as well as a pass for the main event.
On Saturday, the Mixer returns with its blast-from-the-past atmosphere and quality products, with over 30 genuine regional vintage sellers of men’s and women’s fashion, accessories, housewares, vinyl, décor, art, toys and furniture.
Some of the vendors you can expect to see are 100% Polyverse, a husband-and-wife duo who are firm believers in buying, using and reselling lifestyle vintage items as a means of sharing pieces that may otherwise end up in the trash; Alicks & Raflin, an online vintage clothing and accessories store; WHO NEW? Retro Mod Decor, a home for Pittsburgh’s largest selection of vintage designs in furniture and housewares; Swank Cat’s Psychedelic Relics, home to vintage barware, fabrics, decor and original movie posters; and Kitschtopia, a Pittsburgh vintage fashion company that specializes in jewelry and accessories.
In addition to the vendors, the main event will include food trucks, local DJs, and a vintage-inspired “Selfie Station.”
It’s all happening Saturday, November 7 at Teamsters Hall Local 249 from 9AM-3PM. General Admission will be $5 for adults, and children 12 and under get in free.
Don’t miss the opp to grab some quality wares, relics and exclusive collectors’ items during this special weekend affair!
