A Saucy, Informal Evening w/ Rick Sebak
Without a doubt, Rick Sebak is the man. Often touted as the creator of the “scrapbook documentary” genre, his work in public television for WQED and PBS aligns him with Pittsburgh to the level of Mr. Rodgers, another well-known and loved public TV personality. The director, producer and man around town can often be spotted at the city’s most happenin’ events, and now he’s throwing one of his very own to celebrate 25 (+1) years with WQED.
The night, which includes screenings of “Some things we’ve never shown in public before” occurs on Tuesday, October 22 at 6PM. They’ll be sharing over two decades worth of outtakes and clips from the cutting room floor which have never been seen. Musical guests The Beagle Brothers will be performing. This 21+ event will be serving libations from Penn Brewery and East End Brewing Company. There will also be “lots of sandwiches”, because he’s apparently a big fan of the dietary staple.
Tickets are $25 each and can only be obtained by emailing Kim Peters at firstname.lastname@example.org
